Pieces of Sky is the debut young adult novel from blogger Trin in the Wind now known as Australian author, Trinity Doyle. I actually gasped when I read the first line of this book; Mum painted my brothers coffin/5.

All the stories are related with several common characters, including the brothers. Warner does a great job of tying up all the loose ends in the last book, CHASING THE SUN.

The pieces of sky referred to are turquoise beads. At the time this was published, romances were not very adult and treatment of native peoples was understood to have been bad, but few people had read 'Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee' where I lived/5(7).
